Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, with proven practical experience in Fiber Optic OSP projects.

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the execution of Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic network projects, preferably with previous experience in telecommunications projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in:

• Site surveys and fiber route planning (Site Survey & Route Planning).
• Excavation and trenching works for fiber optic networks.
• Open Trenching, Micro Trenching, and HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling).
• Installation of HDPE Ducts, Sub-Ducts, and Microducts.
• Construction and installation of Manholes & Handholes.
• Fiber Cable Pulling & Blowing works.
• Fiber Splicing, Jointing & Termination, including supervision of related activities.
• Fiber optic testing, including OTDR Testing & Power Meter Testing.
• Reading and understanding IFC Drawings, Shop Drawings, and Route Drawings.
• Preparation and review of As-Built Drawings.
• Quantity take-off and preparation/review of BOQs.
• Calculation of excavation, ducting, cabling, and material quantities.
• Site assessment and determination of project requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Supervision and management of subcontractors and site execution teams.
• Monitoring work quality and ensuring compliance with approved technical specifications and standards.
• Monitoring daily productivity and project progress against the approved schedule.
• Preparation of daily, weekly, and project progress reports.
• Good knowledge of HSE requirements related to excavation and infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of excavation permit procedures and coordination with relevant authorities and existing underground utilities.
• Supervision of reinstatement works following completion of excavation and fiber installation activities.
