Job Description

We are looking for a technically capable and hands-on person who can support our sales team, customers and technology solutions.

The role combines product demonstrations, system setup, technical troubleshooting, customer support and pre-sales assistance.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable learning different hardware and software products, setting them up, demonstrating them to customers and helping solve technical issues when required.

This is suitable for someone who enjoys both technology and dealing with customers, rather than someone who wants to work only behind a desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct product and solution demonstrations for customers
• Support the sales team during customer meetings and technical discussions
• Understand customer requirements and help recommend suitable technical solutions
• Configure and set up hardware and software for demonstrations and deployments
• Install, test and troubleshoot systems before delivery to customers
• Assist customers with technical issues and basic support
• Diagnose hardware, software, connectivity and configuration problems
• Work with products such as POS systems, barcode printers, scanners, mobile computers, RFID devices and related business software
• Support installation and implementation of systems at customer locations when required
• Prepare demo environments and ensure equipment is working before meetings
• Coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams when more advanced support is needed
• Maintain proper records of installations, configurations and support cases
• Learn new products and solutions introduced by the company
• Provide technical feedback to the sales and management teams

Requirements

• Technical background in IT, computer systems, electronics, networking or a related field
• Comfortable installing and configuring hardware and software
• Strong troubleshooting ability
• Basic understanding of Windows, networking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IP configuration and peripherals
• Comfortable speaking with customers and conducting demonstrations
• Able to explain technical products in simple language
• Willing to learn new products and software quickly
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Able to work closely with a sales team
• Experience with POS, barcode, mobility, printers, scanners, RFID, ERP or retail technology is an advantage
• Previous technical support, implementation, pre-sales or field-support experience is preferred
