تسعى شركة بارسونز (Parsons Corporation) لتعيين مهندس مرور أول (Senior Traffic Engineer) للعمل ضمن مكتب إدارة مشاريع جديد (PMO) يشرف على مشاريع الطرق السريعة والبنية التحتية الرئيسية في العاصمة السعودية الرياض.

المهام والمسؤوليات

  • الإشراف على تصميمات إشارات المرور والتقاطعات والأعمال المؤقتة وغيرها من تصميمات هندسة المرور ذات الصلة، مع ضمان التواصل والتعاون الفعال مع فريق المشروع طوال دورة حياة المشروع.
  • تطوير وإدارة نطاق كل مهمة تصميم في هندسة المرور، وإنشاء الجدول الزمني، وتحديد الميزانيات، بما يشمل مراقبة تقدم المشروع وتخصيص الموارد لضمان الإنجاز الناجح.
  • تقديم تحديثات دورية مكتوبة وشفهية حول حالة المشروع لمدير المشروع، بما في ذلك الإبلاغ عن المعالم الرئيسية والمخاطر والمشكلات، ومناقشة استراتيجيات تخفيف التحديات.
  • عرض النتائج والتوصيات الفنية باستخدام الخبرة في هندسة المرور.
  • قيادة فريق المشروع في إعداد خطط هندسة المرور، والتي قد تشمل تصميمات الإشارات، وتصميمات اللوحات والعلامات، والتصميمات المفاهيمية للتقاطعات، أو تصميمات أنظمة النقل الذكية (ITS).

  • مساعدة المهندسين في تطوير المناهج التقنية لمشاريع هندسة المرور ومراجعة النتائج الفنية التي أعدها الآخرون، وتقديم التوجيه وضمان الالتزام بمعايير الجودة وأفضل الممارسات.
  • تقديم التدريب والتوجيه للمهندسين المبتدئين ومشاركة الخبرات الفنية ومهارات الاستشارات، بما يشمل التوجيه والدعم الفني وتسهيل تطويرهم المهني.
  • المساهمة في التسليم الناجح لمشاريع هندسة المرور وتعزيز السلامة وتحسين عمليات النقل.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة.
  • خبرة عمل لا تقل عن 15 عامًا في مجال ذي صلة.
  • خبرة أو إلمام ببرامج Microstation وBentley OpenRoads و/أو Projectwise.
  • فهم استخدام أدوات تحليل المرور مثل HCS وTransmodeler وSynchro/SimTraffic.
  • فهم تطبيق مبادئ عمليات المرور بما في ذلك ITE وOMUTCD وMUTCD وODOT TEM وAASHTO ومتطلبات ODOT L&D.
  • خبرة في إعداد مخططات تصميم إشارات المرور.
  • خبرة في واحد أو أكثر من المجالات التالية: معايير تصميم ODOT، تصميم ITS، دراسات عمليات المرور، أو الصياغة المفاهيمية للتقاطعات.
  • خبرة في مراجعة التصميمات من جهات خارجية وتنسيق الملاحظات للموافقة.
  • خبرة في العمل ضمن بيئة فريق متعدد التخصصات.
  • نهج استباقي تجاه الأنشطة الخاصة والمساعدة في التخصصات الأخرى قدر الإمكان لتعزيز كفاءة PMO بشكل عام.

المهارات المطلوبة

  • خبرة سابقة في العمل ضمن مكتب إدارة مشاريع (PMO).
  • وضع معتمد (Chartered) أو ما يعادله من هيئة هندسية معترف بها في المجال.
  • درجة الماجستير في هندسة النقل.
  • خبرة في إدارة المهام و/أو المشاريع الكبيرة.

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work within a new PMO working on major highways / infrastructure projects in the KSA Capital, Riyadh City.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Overseeing traffic signal, junction, temporary works and other associated traffic engineering designs ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the scope of each traffic engineering design task, creating the schedule, and establishing budgets. This includes monitoring project progress and resource allocation to ensure successful completion.
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates on project status to the project manager. This involves reporting on project milestones, risks, and issues, as well as discussing strategies to mitigate challenges.
  • Present technical results and recommendations, utilizing your expertise in traffic engineering.
  • Lead the project team in preparing traffic engineering plans, which could involve signal designs, signing and marking designs, conceptual designs for intersections, or Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) designs. Your expertise would be essential in ensuring accurate and effective plans.
  • Coordinate with various subject matter experts, such as surveyors and roadway designers to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This involves facilitating collaboration, providing guidance, and integrating their expertise into traffic signal and traffic control plans.
  • Conduct and document traffic studies following nationally accepted modeling practices. This involves using various analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate traffic patterns, assess safety measures, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist engineers in developing technical approaches for traffic engineering projects and review technical results prepared by others. This includes providing guidance and ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers, sharing your technical proficiency and consultancy skills. This involves mentoring, offering technical support, and facilitating their professional development.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of traffic engineering projects, promoting safety, and enhancing transportation operations.


What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 15+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience/familiarity with Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads, and/or Projectwise
  • Understanding of the use of traffic analysis tools including HCS, Transmodeler, Synchro/SimTraffic
  • Understanding of the application of traffic operations principles including ITE, OMUTCD, MUTCD, ODOT TEM, AASHTO, and ODOT L&D requirements
  • Experience in developing traffic signal design plans
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: ODOT design standards, ITS design, traffic operations studies, or intersection conceptual drafting
  • Experience in reviewing third party designs and coordinating comments for approval
  • Experience of working within a multi-discipline team environment
  • Proactive approach to own activities and helping in other disciplines, as far as practically possible, to assist in PMO overall efficiency.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Previous experience of working in a PMO
  • Charted (or similar) status with an industry recognized engineering body
  • Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering
  • Experience managing large tasks and/or projects
