Role Description The Cooling Tower Engineer will be responsible to look for the develop, design, selection, and optimization of cooling tower systems for industrial and commercial projects in Dammam. This full-time, on-site role includes performing detailed thermal and hydraulic calculations, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. The engineer will coordinate with project managers, mechanical and civil engineers, and external vendors to support tender preparation, equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, troubleshooting performance issues, preparing technical reports, and proposing corrective actions and system improvements. The role also involves supporting maintenance planning, promoting energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, and ensuring safe working practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals and cooling tower technology, including thermal performance, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with system design and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar CAD software, basic simulation or calculation tools for HVAC or industrial cooling systems).
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards related to cooling towers and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in project coordination, including planning, scheduling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing cooling tower issues and proposing effective technical solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, documentation, and client-facing technical presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; relevant professional certifications or training in HVAC or industrial cooling are an advantage.
• Prior experience in industrial or infrastructure projects within the GCC region or similar environments is beneficial.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability, with familiarity with relevant HSE standards and best practices.
• Ability to work on-site in Saudi Arabia, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing project needs and timelines.
