The Avionics Technician is responsible for performing and certifying maintenance work on the avionics systems of A320 aircraft, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to aviation safety and regulatory standards. The role includes performing diagnostics, component changes, documentation updates, and oversight of outsourced maintenance when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Certification
- Perform maintenance on avionics systems and certify tasks within scope of personal authorization.
- Ensure all maintenance is completed per manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize only approved methods, tools, and materials for maintenance.
- Certify task cards, work orders, and inspection schedules in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure AMOS and related documentation are updated post-maintenance.
- Validate that all spare parts used are approved and have complete documentation.
- Ensure licenses and approvals are valid and up-to-date for relevant aircraft types.
- Attend training as per GACA requirements to maintain compliance.
On-site & Field Support
- Support off-aircraft tasks such as spare handling, robbing, and hold item management.
- Assist in the acceptance/delivery process as a tech rep at MROs inside or outside Saudi Arabia.
- Be available for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) recovery operations across the network.
Safety & Quality Assurance
- Ensure safety precautions and procedures are followed before and during maintenance tasks.
- Report any defects observed or flight crew reported issues to MCC and supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a professional image representing flyadeal at all times.
- Valid GACA A&P / FAA or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance License.
- A320 (CFM56 / LEAP 1A) family type rating.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience certifying A320 maintenance.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Line/Base aircraft maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of A320 avionics systems and aircraft technical documentation.
- Detailed understanding of regulatory requirements (GACAR, EASA Part CAMO/145/21, FAA FAR Part 43/91).
- Computer literate with MS Office skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
