Job Description
As a Kitchen & Laundry Technician at Movepick Waad Al Shaml, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing all kitchen and laundry equipment to the highest standards of excellence. Your role is critical to ensuring seamless operations across our culinary and housekeeping departments, directly supporting our commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and exhaust systems to premium operational standards
- Maintain and service laundry equipment including washers, dryers, steamers, and ironers to ensure consistent quality and efficiency
- Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules to minimize equipment downtime and ensure uninterrupted service delivery
- Respond promptly to urgent repair requests from kitchen and housekeeping departments to maintain guest satisfaction
- Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and execute necessary repairs or recommend equipment replacements
- Coordinate with specialized vendors for complex repairs and parts procurement to maintain equipment integrity
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations related to all electrical and gas-powered appliances
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all maintenance activities and equipment service history for audit and compliance purposes
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workshop and tool inventory
Qualifications
- Min. 2 years experience in a similar role in a five-star Hotel brand
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of safety procedures.
- Able to communicate in English
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
