شركة WSP in the Middle East تبحث عن مهندس صرف صحي (Drainage Engineer) للانضمام إلى فريق الإشراف على الإنشاءات في الرياض، السعودية، لدعم تنفيذ مشروع طرق رئيسي.

المهام والمسؤوليات

  • الإشراف على جميع أنشطة إنشاءات الصرف الصحي لضمان تنفيذ الأعمال وفقاً للمخططات والمواصفات المعتمدة ومتطلبات المشروع.
  • مراقبة أداء المقاول وضمان الامتثال لمعايير الجودة والسلامة والبيئة.
  • مراجعة والتحقق من منهجيات الإنشاء، وإجراءات العمل، وخطط الفحص والاختبار (ITPs)، وبيانات الطريقة.
  • إجراء تفتيشات ومراجعات ميدانية منتظمة لأعمال الصرف الصحي تشمل: شبكات مياه الأمطار، وهياكل الخرسانة المسلحة، والعبارات الصندوقية، والعبارات الأنبوبية، والقنوات المفتوحة، وغرف التفتيش، والجدران الرأسية والمصبات، ومرافق التخزين والاحتجاز.

  • المشاركة في الاجتماعات الفنية واجتماعات التقدم وورش التنسيق الميداني، ودعم حل مشكلات الإنشاء والتداخل المؤثرة على تسليم المشروع.
  • مراقبة تقدم أنشطة إنشاءات الصرف مقابل الجداول الزمنية، وتحديد المخاطر والتأخيرات والمطالبات المحتملة المتعلقة بأعمال الصرف.
  • إعداد التقارير الفنية وتقارير التفتيش وإشعارات عدم المطابقة (NCRs) وقوائم العيوب وتحديثات التقدم، ومساعدة القيادة العليا للمشروع في تتبع أداء الإنشاء ومعالم المشروع.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية أو تخصص هندسي ذي صلة.
  • يُفضّل التسجيل المهني أو العضوية في مؤسسة هندسية معترف بها.
  • المؤهلات الإضافية في هندسة المياه أو إدارة مياه الأمطار أو تصميم البنية التحتية تُعتبر ميزة.
  • خبرة مهنية لا تقل عن 15 عاماً في مشاريع الهندسة المدنية والبنية التحتية للصرف.
  • خبرة مثبتة في الإشراف على الإنشاءات وإدارة المواقع لأعمال الصرف.
  • الخبرة السابقة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط مفضلة للغاية.
  • الخبرة في العمل على مشاريع لهيئات حكومية رئيسية ووكالات نقل تُعتبر ميزة.
  • القدرة على تفسير المخططات الهندسية والمواصفات والتقارير الفنية.
  • خبرة في مراجعة مقدمات المقاولين والمخططات التنفيذية وطلبات المعلومات (RFIs) وبيانات الطريقة.
  • فهم قوي لإجراءات مراقبة الجودة والإشراف على الإنشاءات.

Job Description

WSP is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting the delivery of a major roads and highways infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of drainage infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards, and project quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in highway drainage systems, stormwater management infrastructure, culverts, channels, detention systems, utility interfaces, and associated civil works within large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Construction Supervision & Inspection

  • Supervise all drainage-related construction activities to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Review and verify construction methodologies, work procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits of drainage works including:
    • Stormwater networks
    • Reinforced concrete drainage structures
    • Box culverts
    • Pipe culverts
    • Open channels
    • Catch pits and manholes
    • Headwalls and outfalls
    • Retention and detention facilities
  • Ensure proper installation, alignment, levels, and workmanship of drainage infrastructure.

Technical Oversight

  • Review drainage shop drawings and contractor submissions.
  • Verify compliance with approved designs, local authority requirements, and international engineering standards.
  • Review requests for information (RFIs), technical queries, material approvals, and engineering proposals submitted by contractors.
  • Identify construction issues and provide practical engineering solutions to maintain project progress.
  • Coordinate with design teams where design clarifications or modifications are required.


Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning activities associated with drainage systems.
  • Review material testing reports and verify compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure all drainage works are completed to required quality standards prior to acceptance.
  • Review and verify as-built records and project documentation.


Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with Resident Engineers, Civil Engineers, Highway Engineers, Utility Engineers, Surveyors, and HSE teams.
  • Interface with contractors, subcontractors, local authorities, utility providers, and client representatives.
  • Participate in technical meetings, progress meetings, and site coordination workshops.
  • Support the resolution of construction and interface issues affecting project delivery.


Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor progress of drainage construction activities against project schedules.
  • Identify risks, delays, and potential claims related to drainage works.
  • Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, NCRs, snagging lists, and progress updates.
  • Assist senior project leadership in tracking construction performance and project milestones.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineering registration or membership with a recognized engineering institution is preferred.
  • Additional qualifications in water engineering, stormwater management, or infrastructure design are advantageous.
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in civil engineering and drainage infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction supervision and site management of drainage works.
  • Previous Middle East experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience working on projects for major government authorities and transportation agencies is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Experience reviewing contractor submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and method statements.
  • Strong understanding of quality control and construction supervision procedures.
