انضم إلى فريق برمجيات مفتوحة المصدر موزع ككاتب تقني (Technical Writer) متخصص في PostgreSQL، عبر شركة شريكة تُدار من خلال Jobgether. العمل عن بُعد من المملكة العربية السعودية، في بيئة تعاونية عالمية تركز على قواعد البيانات والتوثيق عالي الجودة.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- إنشاء وصيانة وثائق تقنية شاملة، تشمل أدلة التثبيت والتكوين، وموارد استكشاف الأخطاء، والمقالات الإرشادية، وأدلة المستخدم، وصفحات الدليل (man pages)، والأدلة المساعدة، ووثائق الإصدارات.
- التعاون الوثيق مع مدراء الهندسة، مدراء المنتجات، المطورين، مختصي ضمان الجودة، وكتّاب تقنيين آخرين لإنتاج وثائق دقيقة وفي الوقت المناسب وعالية الجودة.
- ترجمة مفاهيم PostgreSQL وقواعد البيانات المعقدة إلى محتوى واضح ومتاح للمستخدمين ذوي المستويات التقنية المختلفة.
- استخدام Markdown والنصوص والصور والرسوم البيانية وغيرها من الصيغ لإنشاء وثائق فعّالة وجذابة.
- العمل ضمن منهجية docs-as-code، وصيانة الوثائق عبر سير عمل يتم التحكم في إصداراته (version-controlled) والمساهمة في ممارسات توثيق قابلة للتوسع.
- الاستفادة من الأدوات المدعومة بالذكاء الاصطناعي لصياغة المحتوى التقني وتنقيحه وهيكلته وتنسيقه مع الحفاظ على الدقة والجودة.
- المشاركة الفعالة في جلسات الفريق، النقاشات الفنية، جلسات التخطيط، والأنشطة التعاونية الأخرى.
- المساهمة في استراتيجية التوثيق العامة وتحسين معايير الكتابة وسير العمل والعمليات باستمرار.
- التفاعل مع مجتمعات المصادر المفتوحة عبر المنتديات والقوائم البريدية وغيرها من قنوات الاتصال، ومشاركة المعرفة وجمع الرؤى التقنية.
- البحث عن تقنيات جديدة والمساهمة في وثائق المنبع (upstream) أو محتوى المدونات التقنية أو مبادرات مشاركة المعرفة الأخرى عند الاقتضاء.
- المساعدة في تطوير وصيانة الاختبارات الآلية للتوثيق وعمليات التحقق وسير عمل CI/CD حيثما ينطبق ذلك.
الشروط والمتطلبات
- خبرة مهنية لا تقل عن 3 سنوات ككاتب تقني (Technical Writer) مع قدرة مثبتة على إنتاج وثائق تقنية دقيقة وعالية الجودة.
- مهارات تواصل ممتازة باللغة الإنجليزية كتابةً وتحدثاً، مع القدرة على شرح الموضوعات التقنية بوضوح وفعالية.
- خبرة في توثيق أنظمة البرمجيات المعقدة وإنتاج وثائق موجهة للمستخدم لجماهير تقنية.
- إلمام قوي بلغات الترميز، خاصة Markdown.
- خبرة عملية في تثبيت وتكوين برنامج خادم قاعدة بيانات على نظام Linux.
- خبرة عملية في منهجيات docs-as-code والأدوات مثل Git وJenkins وMarkdown وHTML و/أو JavaScript.
- خبرة في استخدام أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي لدعم سير عمل التوثيق التقني.
- إلمام جيد بسطر أوامر Linux وأدوات المطورين مثل Git وGCC وGDB.
- فهم الأنظمة الموزعة و/أو تطوير خادم قاعدة البيانات.
- القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وإدارة الأولويات بفعالية ضمن مؤسسة موزعة عالمياً.
- مهارات تعاون قوية وخبرة في التواصل عبر أدوات مثل Slack وJira وNotion وZoom والقوائم البريدية ومنتديات المجتمع.
- قدرة مثبتة على التعلم السريع وحل المشكلات بشكل مستقل والمساهمة الإيجابية كجزء من فريق موزع.
- خلفية في التطوير أو DevOps تعتبر ميزة كبيرة.
- خبرة في المساهمة في PostgreSQL أو مشاريع مفتوحة المصدر أخرى، أو المشاركة النشطة في مجتمع PostgreSQL، تعتبر ميزة قوية.
- فهم متين لدواخل PostgreSQL ومفاهيم قواعد البيانات المتقدمة مثل محركات التخزين والتشفير عند الثبات (encryption at rest) وتنسيق السحابة (cloud orchestration) مرغوب فيه بشكل خاص.
- خبرة في بناء أتمتة التوثيق أو خطوط CI/CD أو أدوات التحقق من الوثائق تعتبر ميزة إضافية.
- خبرة كمتحدث في المؤتمرات أو مدون تقني أو مساهم نشط في المنتديات التقنية العامة أو القوائم البريدية تعتبر ميزة إضافية.
- يجب أن يكون المرشحون مرتاحين للعمل عن بُعد من المملكة العربية السعودية والعمل ضمن نطاق ±4 ساعات تقريباً من متوسط المنطقة الزمنية UTC-2 للفريق.

Accountabilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including installation and configuration guides, troubleshooting resources, how-to articles, user manuals, man pages, help prompts, and release documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, developers, QA specialists, and other technical writers to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality documentation.
- Translate complex PostgreSQL and database concepts into clear, accessible content for users with different levels of technical expertise.
- Use Markdown, text, images, diagrams, and other formats to create engaging and effective documentation.
- Work within a docs-as-code methodology, maintaining documentation through version-controlled workflows and contributing to scalable documentation practices.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to draft, refine, structure, format, and improve technical content while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Participate actively in team ceremonies, technical discussions, planning sessions, and other collaborative activities.
- Contribute to the broader documentation strategy and continuously improve writing standards, workflows, and processes.
- Engage with open-source communities through forums, mailing lists, and other communication channels, sharing knowledge and gathering technical insights.
- Research new technologies and contribute to upstream documentation, technical blog content, or other knowledge-sharing initiatives when appropriate.
- Help develop and maintain automated documentation testing, validation processes, and CI/CD workflows where applicable.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Writer, with a proven ability to produce precise, high-quality technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical subjects clearly and effectively.
- Experience documenting complex software systems and producing user-oriented documentation for technical audiences.
- Strong familiarity with markup languages, particularly Markdown.
- Hands-on experience installing and configuring database server software on Linux.
- Practical experience with docs-as-code methodologies and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Markdown, HTML, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience using AI tools to support technical documentation workflows.
- Comfortable working with the Linux command line and developer tools such as Git, GCC, and GDB.
- Understanding of distributed systems and/or database server development.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively within a globally distributed organization.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience communicating through tools such as Slack, Jira, Notion, Zoom, mailing lists, and community forums.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, solve problems independently, and contribute positively as part of a distributed team.
- A developer or DevOps background is highly valued.
- Experience contributing to PostgreSQL or other open-source projects, or active involvement in the PostgreSQL community, is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL internals and advanced database concepts such as storage engines, encryption at rest, and cloud orchestration is particularly desirable.
- Experience building documentation automation, CI/CD pipelines, or documentation validation tools is a plus.
- Experience as a conference speaker, technical blogger, or active contributor to public technical forums or mailing lists is an additional advantage.
- Candidates should be comfortable working remotely from Poland and operating within approximately ±4 hours of the team’s UTC-2 median time zone.
