Role Description The Fire Alarm Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dammam. The Fire Alarm Technician will install, configure, and commission fire alarm systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site surveys, cable routing, device mounting, panel wiring, system programming, and functional testing. The role also involves diagnosing faults, performing repairs, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and preparing basic technical documentation and reports. The Fire Alarm Technician will collaborate with project engineers, electricians, and other team members, follow safety procedures, and support project timelines and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in fire alarm systems, including installation, wiring, programming, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations relevant to fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Experience with testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm devices, panels, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and system layouts.
• Understanding of related low current and security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control) is an advantage.
• Basic electrical knowledge, including safe work practices, use of test instruments, and LV system familiarity.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured procedures and checklists.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work safely on active project sites.
• Relevant technical diploma or vocational qualification in electrical, electronics, or fire alarm technology; industry certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience as a fire alarm technician or in a similar role within construction, industrial, or facilities environments is preferred.
