المهام والمسؤوليات
- دعم أنشطة هندسة المرور وتقييم التنقل عند التقاطعات والممرات والطرق السريعة ونقاط الوصول وواجهات النقل العام ونقاط الازدحام في جميع أنحاء الرياض.
- مراجعة بيانات تعداد المرور وبيانات حركة الانعطاف وأوقات السفر وملاحظات الطوابير وبيانات السرعة ومعلومات الحوادث وبيانات الكاشفات والفيديو وغيرها من المعلومات الميدانية لتحديد القصور التشغيلي.
- إجراء عمليات تفتيش ميدانية وتوثيق عمليات المرور الحالية والقيود الهندسية ومشكلات استخدام المسارات وظروف المشاة وتضاربات الوصول وتأثيرات الوقوف وغيرها من العوامل المؤثرة على أداء الشبكة.
- تطوير ومراجعة مفاهيم عملية لإدارة المرور وتحسين هندسي مثل تغييرات استخدام المسارات وتعديلات مسارات الانعطاف وإدارة الوصول وتحسينات اللافتات والعلامات وتغييرات توقيت الإشارات وتوجيه التقاطعات وتحسينات السعة المحلية.
- دعم تقييمات الممرات من خلال تحديد الاختناقات المتكررة ومشكلات التقدم وتراجع الطوابير والصراعات التشغيلية وفرص التحسين متعدد الوسائط.
- إعداد رسومات فنية واضحة ومعروضات وخرائط وصور فوتوغرافية وحسابات وجداول وسرديات هندسية موجزة تشرح المشكلات المرصودة والعلاجات الموصى بها.
- دعم كبار المهندسين في مهام Synchro أو GIS أو جداول البيانات أو غيرها من المهام التحليلية المستخدمة لاختبار ومقارنة خيارات تحسين النقل.
- دعم تقييمات ما قبل وبعد التطوير وتطوير مقاييس الأداء لتحسينات المرور المنفذة.
- التنسيق مع متخصصي الطرق والإشارات وأنظمة النقل الذكية والنقل العام والوقوف والسلامة والإنشاء لضمان أن التوصيات تراعي التأثيرات الأوسع على الشبكة.
- المساعدة في إعداد تقارير التقييم ودراسات الممرات والعروض التقديمية والمذكرات الفنية والمبادئ التوجيهية وتوصيات التنفيذ.
- المشاركة في الاجتماعات الميدانية وورش العمل الفنية وجلسات التنسيق مع الهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين في المشروع.
- الحفاظ على سجلات هندسية منظمة وضمان إمكانية تتبع مدخلات التحليل والافتراضات والملاحظات الميدانية والتوصيات.
- تطبيق ممارسات هندسة النقل الحالية مع البحث عن حلول مبتكرة قائمة على البيانات مناسبة لبيئة تشغيل الرياض.
- دعم مراقبة التنفيذ والتحقق الميداني لتحديد ما إذا كانت التحسينات المكتملة تعمل كما هو مقصود.
- تطوير القدرات الفنية من خلال التوجيه والمراجعة المنظمة والتعرض لعمليات المرور وتخطيط النقل وأنظمة النقل الذكية وتخصصات تصميم الطرق.
المهارات المطلوبة
- درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية أو هندسة النقل أو هندسة المرور أو مجال وثيق الصلة.
- 6-8 سنوات من الخبرة المهنية في هندسة المرور أو تخطيط النقل أو تحليل التنقل أو عمليات الطرق أو الأعمال ذات الصلة.
- معرفة عملية بمبادئ هندسة المرور بما في ذلك عمليات التقاطعات والسعة والطوابير واستخدام المسارات والتحكم في المرور وإدارة الوصول وعمليات الإشارات الأساسية.
- خبرة في مراجعة بيانات المرور وترجمة الملاحظات الميدانية إلى نتائج هندسية واضحة ومفاهيم تحسين محتملة.
- القدرة والاستعداد لإجراء تحقيقات ميدانية في بيئات مرور حضرية حية وتوثيق الظروف بدقة.
- الإلمام ببرامج تحليل المرور مثل Synchro/SimTraffic أو Vissim أو HCS أو أدوات مماثلة أمر مرغوب فيه؛ الكفاءة التحليلية المؤكدة مطلوبة.
- معرفة عملية بأدوات AutoCAD و/أو GIS لمراجعة أو إعداد المعروضات الهندسية أمر مفيد.
- إتقان قوي لبرامج Microsoft Excel و PowerPoint و Word للتحليل وإعداد التقارير الفنية.
- مهارات تواصل كتابية وشفهية جيدة باللغة الإنجليزية والقدرة على إعداد مواد فنية موجزة.
- القدرة على العمل بفعالية في فرق متعددة التخصصات وقبول التوجيه الفني وإدارة مهام متعددة مع الاهتمام بالجودة والجدول الزمني.
- جلب أفضل الممارسات الدولية في عمليات المرور والتنقل وتكييفها مع بيئة تشغيل الرياض.
المهارات المرغوبة
- خبرة سابقة في المملكة العربية السعودية أو منطقة الخليج الأوسع في مشاريع النقل الحضري أو إدارة المرور.
- التعرض لدراسات الممرات ودراسات تأثير المرور وتوقيت الإشارات وتقييمات سلامة الطرق وأولوية النقل العام والوقوف أو إدارة مرور الإنشاءات.
- خبرة في استخدام GIS أو Python أو Power BI أو تحليلات فيديو المرور أو بيانات المسبار أو غيرها من أدوات بيانات التنقل الناشئة.
- الاهتمام بالتنقل الذكي وأنظمة النقل الذكية وإدارة المرور القائمة على البيانات والمعالجات التشغيلية المبتكرة.
- حالة مهندس متدرب أو وضع تطوير مهني مماثل يعتبر ميزة.
- مهارات اللغة العربية مرغوبة ولكنها غير مطلوبة.

This is a strong development role for an engineer who wants hands-on exposure to large-city traffic management and operational improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support traffic engineering and mobility assessments at intersections, corridors, highways, access points, public transport interfaces, and congestion hotspots across Riyadh.
- Review traffic counts, turning-movement data, travel times, queue observations, speed data, crash information, detector data, video, and other field information to identify operational deficiencies.
- Conduct field inspections and document existing traffic operations, geometric constraints, lane-use issues, pedestrian conditions, access conflicts, parking impacts, and other factors affecting network performance.
- Develop and review practical traffic-management and geometric improvement concepts such as lane-use changes, turn-lane modifications, access management, signing and marking improvements, signal-timing changes, intersection channelization, and localized capacity improvements.
- Support corridor assessments by identifying recurring bottlenecks, progression issues, queue spillback, operational conflicts, and opportunities for multimodal improvements.
- Prepare clear technical sketches, exhibits, maps, photographs, calculations, tables, and concise engineering narratives that explain observed issues and recommended treatments.
- Support senior engineers with Synchro, GIS, spreadsheet, or other analytical tasks used to test and compare transportation improvement options.
- Support before-and-after evaluations and development of performance measures for implemented traffic improvements.
- Coordinate with roadway, signal, ITS, public transport, parking, safety, and construction specialists to ensure recommendations account for wider network impacts.
- Assist with preparation of assessment reports, corridor studies, presentations, technical memoranda, guidelines, and implementation recommendations.
- Participate in site meetings, technical workshops, and coordination sessions with RCRC and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain organized engineering records and ensure analysis inputs, assumptions, field observations, and recommendations are traceable.
- Apply current transportation-engineering practices while looking for innovative, data-driven solutions appropriate to Riyadh’s operating environment.
- Support implementation monitoring and field verification to determine whether completed improvements are functioning as intended.
- Develop technical capability through mentoring, structured review, and exposure to traffic operations, transportation planning, ITS, and roadway-design disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 6-8 years of professional experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, mobility analysis, roadway operations, or related transportation work.
- Working knowledge of traffic engineering principles including intersection operations, capacity, queues, lane utilization, traffic control, access management, and basic signal operations.
- Experience reviewing traffic data and translating field observations into clear engineering findings and potential improvement concepts.
- Ability and willingness to conduct field investigations in live urban traffic environments and document conditions accurately.
- Familiarity with traffic-analysis software such as Synchro/SimTraffic, Vissim, HCS, or comparable tools is desirable; demonstrated analytical aptitude is required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or GIS tools for reviewing or preparing engineering exhibits is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for analysis and technical reporting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to prepare concise technical material.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, accept technical direction, and manage multiple assignments with attention to quality and schedule.
- Bring international traffic operations and mobility best practice and adapt it to Riyadh’s operating environment.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC on urban transportation or traffic-management projects.
- Exposure to corridor studies, traffic impact studies, signal timing, road-safety assessments, public transport priority, parking, or construction traffic management.
- Experience using GIS, Python, Power BI, traffic-video analytics, probe data, or other emerging mobility-data tools.
- Interest in smart mobility, ITS, data-driven traffic management, and innovative operational treatments.
- Engineer-in-Training or equivalent professional-development status is an advantage.
- Arabic language skills are desirable but not required.
