IT & HR Shared Services Director

The IT & HR Shared Services Director will lead the company’s Information Technology function as the primary area of responsibility, while also overseeing Shared Services, including Human Resources and other corporate support functions.

The role requires a strong IT leader with proven experience in managing technology operations, infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and IT governance.

The successful candidate will be expected to directly lead and manage the IT department, develop the company’s technology strategy, and ensure that technology capabilities support the organization’s growth, operational efficiency, and business objectives.

In addition to IT leadership, the role will provide strategic oversight of Shared Services to ensure efficient, integrated, and technology-enabled corporate support functions.

Key Responsibilities

IT Leadership & Strategy - Primary Responsibility

• Lead and manage the entire IT function and IT team.
• Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy, technology roadmap, and digital transformation agenda.
• Align technology initiatives and investments with the company’s business and growth objectives.
• Advise executive management on technology strategy, IT risks, digital capabilities, and future technology requirements.
• Develop the IT operating model, governance framework, policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Manage IT budgets, technology investments, resources, and cost optimization initiatives.

IT Operations & Infrastructure

• Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud environments, applications, systems, devices, and end-user services.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of technology infrastructure.
• Lead IT service management and ensure effective technical support across the organization.
• Establish and monitor IT SLAs and operational KPIs.
• Manage technology vendors, service providers, software partners, licenses, contracts, and SLAs.
• Ensure technology infrastructure is scalable to support future business expansion.

Enterprise Systems, ERP & Digital Transformation

• Lead ERP and enterprise systems implementation, integration, enhancement, and optimization.
• Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives across business functions.
• Identify opportunities to digitize manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure effective integration between IT systems, HR systems, finance systems, and other business platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business performance and decision-making.
• Improve management reporting, dashboards, data visibility, and system capabilities.

Shared Services Oversight

• Lead and oversee the Shared Services function alongside the primary IT responsibilities.
• Ensure effective and efficient delivery of corporate support services.
• Develop Shared Services policies, procedures, governance, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across support functions.
• Improve integration and collaboration between IT, HR, Finance, Administration, and other corporate functions.
• Identify opportunities to centralize and optimize support services.

Human Resources Oversight

• Provide strategic oversight of the HR function in coordination with the HR team.
• Ensure HR systems, policies, processes, and services support business requirements.
• Support HR digitalization, HRIS development, workflow automation, and integration with other enterprise systems.
• Monitor HR service delivery and ensure effective support to the organization.
• Ensure appropriate HR governance and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 10-15+ years of professional experience, with substantial experience within Information Technology.
• Strong experience directly managing an IT& HR departments and technical teams.
• Experience overseeing Shared Services, Corporate Services, HR, or other support functions is highly preferred.
• Strong business and commercial understanding in addition to technical expertise.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong Arabic and English communication skills.
