Role Description

Lel Benaa Funoon Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role combines technical office operations, HVAC design, technical sales, business development, and site supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing HVAC designs and shop drawings, performing load calculations, preparing technical and commercial proposals, managing client relationships, securing new projects, and supervising HVAC installation works. The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage responsibilities across the office and project sites.

Key Responsibilities1. HVAC Design & Technical Office

• Design, prepare, review, and optimize HVAC system layouts and shop drawings.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and select suitable HVAC equipment.
• Prepare technical drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review project requirements, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop technical solutions based on client requirements, project specifications, and budget considerations.

2. Technical Sales & Business Development

• Meet with clients to identify their requirements and recommend suitable HVAC solutions.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and cost estimates.
• Negotiate technical and commercial terms with clients and follow up to close contracts.
• Identify new business opportunities, follow up on sales leads, and develop long-term client relationships.
• Actively pursue potential projects and contribute to the company's sales growth.

3. Project Execution & Site Supervision

• Supervise HVAC installation works and coordinate with contractors, technicians, project managers, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure site execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely completion of works.
• Oversee HVAC testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Conduct site inspections and implement corrective actions to address technical issues and execution discrepancies.

4. Project Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate technical activities between the technical office, project sites, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, quality, costs, and progress.
• Prepare periodic technical reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, cost efficiency, and project delivery.
• Provide technical support for HVAC maintenance and operational issues when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6-7 years of relevant professional experience in HVAC engineering, technical office operations, and construction projects.
• Strong experience in HVAC design, shop drawings, load calculations, BOQs, technical specifications, and cost estimation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation software.
• Proven experience in technical sales, commercial proposals, client negotiations, and contract closing.
• Practical experience in HVAC installation, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of HVAC equipment selection, applicable Saudi building codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, planning, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English and Arabic.
• Ability to work on-site in Riyadh and manage both office-based and field responsibilities effectively.
