Librarian - Evening Shift

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented approach and the ability to manage library operations efficiently. The successful candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to assist students and faculty professionally while maintaining an organized and accessible library environment during evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily library operations during the evening shift.
• Assist students and faculty in locating books, references, and academic resources.
• Handle library circulation services, including borrowing, returning, and renewing materials.
• Maintain accurate and organized library records, catalogs, and databases.
• Ensure proper arrangement, classification, and organization of library materials.
• Respond to library inquiries and provide timely and professional assistance.
• Monitor library facilities and ensure compliance with library policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to support library services.
• Prepare library reports, records, and related documentation as required.
• Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth library operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management, or a relevant field.
• Previous experience in library operations or academic libraries is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with library management systems and cataloging procedures.
• Ability to assist students and faculty professionally and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English.
• Willingness and availability to work evening shifts.
• Immediate availability to join is preferred.
