Job Purpose
The Senior Specialist - Cloud Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of the organization's cloud environments. The role ensures cloud services remain available, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient, while providing advanced technical support and driving automation and continuous operational improvement.

The Senior Specialist - Cloud Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of the organization's cloud environments. The role ensures cloud services remain available, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient, while providing advanced technical support and driving automation and continuous operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, administer, monitor, and support enterprise cloud platforms and services
- Ensure the availability, stability, performance, and operational readiness of cloud environments
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and proactively identify and resolve performance, capacity, availability, and configuration issues
- Provide L3 technical support for complex cloud incidents, service requests, and change requests, consistent with the responsibilities referenced in your internal material. [Norah Bin...an in chat | Teams]
- Perform cloud platform patching, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities. [Norah Bin...an in chat | Teams]
- Implement automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive manual activities
- Support cloud security controls, identity and access management, configuration standards, backup, and disaster recovery
- Support incident, problem, and change management activities, including root-cause analysis for recurring or critical issues
- Monitor cloud utilization and support FinOps/cost optimization activities to improve resource efficiency

- Maintain monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and high-availability capabilities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in cloud reliability, scalability, security, and operational processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Typically 5-8 years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience, including strong hands-on exposure to cloud operations
- Hands-on experience with one or more major platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Public senior cloud roles similarly emphasize AWS/Azure, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, scalability, and cost efficiency
