Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG) with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, through a wholly owned affiliate Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP), has two 50/50 joint venture projects in the Eastern Province Industrial City of Al-Jubail: Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP). A third joint venture, Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo), is jointly owned by ACP and National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem).
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to perform monthly close duties in accordance with company and international accounting standard. Responsible for maintaining financial records and the preparation of financial reports and spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities
Performs The Activities, May Include But Not Limited To
- Passes all JVs required for monthly GL Closing - Performs posting of journal entries in SAP upon checking andverification of request form and supporting documents received.
- Classification/reclassification, calculation, processing & reconciliation of payroll, benefits, regulatory &administrative expenses such as monthly EOS provisions, HOP transactions, bonus, Saving & Fitness plans, medicalcharges, GOSI and full processing of payroll for distribution partners & secondment staff (CPC).
- Calculate, Council/reconcile & Processing VAT & IFRS16, through review of contracts, and calculation of interests.
- Processing dividend payments, PO & Non-PO transactions from distribution partners, amortization, &Commissions.
- Prepares monthly accounts analysis in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Prepares monthly accounts reconciliation and ensures the overall accuracy of the organization’s general ledger.
- Supports the annual budget process of G&A/SD Cost Centers.
- Prepares annual SOX audit, makes sure to update Reporting and internal auditing system.
- Prepares monthly journal entries including complex accruals, monthly benefit adjustments and treasury relatedentries.
- Performs month end close processes, timely and accurately, ensuring proper financial records
- Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and analyses assigned. Ensures that these accounts are reconciled, andjustification is properly documented.
- Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
- Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
- Performs any other relevant task as directed by Section Head Corporate Accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounts
- Years of Experience: 2-8 years ( A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience)
Skills/Performance Indicators
- Preferred work experience in petrochemical sector.
- Applied knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and practices.
- Must have exposure to ERP System - SAP or related.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proceduremanuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond toquestions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the generalpublic.
