Description
Job Purpose:
Capable of working within a broad range of duties, covering preparing BOQ, Sub Con & client Invoices for Civil & MEP works, taking site measurements for completed works and evaluating change orders.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Monitor the site ‘permit-to-work’ systems to ensure compliance with Project HSE Plan and standards.
- Conduct daily & weekly safety toolbox talks.
- Conduct weekly safety walk through to assess implementation of safety plan.
- Marking of hazardous construction material & making sure their storage as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Preparing Hob Hazard Analysis & communicating it to related site team members.
- Making sure that all vehicles & equipment have required fitness certificate from concerned Authority.
- Making sure that vehicle & equipment driver/operator has related license or permit or required training to operate it.
- Perform periodic safety audit to evaluate compliance with HSE Plan.
- Perform data analysis to know safety trends & to make strategies to avoid any incident.
- Investigate / record near miss, incidents & accidents. Provide support and expertise to local safety teams in incident investigation and reporting.
- Ensure regular inspections of all areas of construction projects to identify HSE issues.
- Identify opportunities for continuous safety improvement within the Safety Department.
- Experience in leading and carrying out Safety Risk Assessments and Safety Risk Management Programs.
- Provide health and safety leadership and direction to Division, Department and Project Manager.
- To recommend & implement control measures and advice on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
- Ensure that project personnel are adequately trained in emergency response plan procedures.
- Participate and assist the supervisors, foreman and safety advisors in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.
- Ensure safety boards with postings including but not limited to: Health and safety policy, inspection and audit results, project hazard assessment, location of first aid, etc. are maintained and current.
- Monitor the site ‘permit-to-work’ systems to ensure compliance with Project HSE Plan and standards.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety engineer role, especially within healthcare or hospital environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited University.
Language
Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
Licenses / Certifications
SCE with OSHA or SASO
