شركة Parsons Corporation تعلن عن توفر وظيفة مهندس تصميم طرق للعمل ضمن مكتب إدارة المشاريع (PMO) في مدينة الرياض، المملكة العربية السعودية، للإشراف على مشاريع الطرق السريعة والبنية التحتية الكبرى.

المهام والمسؤوليات

  • مراجعة رسومات وتقارير ومواصفات تصميم الطرق والطرق السريعة المُعَدَّة من مصممين خارجيين في مرحلتي التصميم المفاهيمي والتفصيلي، مع الاهتمام بواجهات العمل مع هياكل أخرى مثل المنشآت، والصرف، والمرافق، والمرور، وغيرها من التخصصات.
  • تطوير وتقييم بدائل التصميم المفاهيمي للطرق والتقاطعات والمُفترقات لدعم اتخاذ القرارات من قبل مكتب إدارة المشاريع والعميل، بما يشمل بدائل التخطيط والحلول الهندسية عالية المستوى.
  • المساهمة في دراسات الهندسة القيمية للطرق السريعة والمُفترقات، وتحديد فرص تحسين الهندسة والحلول الرصفية وميزات السلامة مع الالتزام بالمعايير وأهداف المشروع.
  • إعداد التفاصيل الهندسية والرسومات التوضيحية والعروض لعرض مفاهيم التصميم ومقترحات الهندسة القيمية وتوضيحات التصميم.
  • مراجعة عناصر تصميم الرصف وسلامة الطرق المُعَدَّة من أطراف خارجية، وضمان سلامة التوصيات فنياً ومواءمتها للمعايير والممارسات السليمة.
  • مراجعة مُسَلّمات التصميم من الأطراف الخارجية ورسومات الموردين والمستندات الفنية، وإعداد تعليقات فنية منسقة وواضحة واستجابات لعمليات اعتماد مكتب إدارة المشاريع والعميل.
  • التنسيق مع الفرق متعددة التخصصات (الجسور/المنشآت، الصرف، المرافق، المرور، والعمارة/المناظر الطبيعية) لحل مشكلات التصميم وضمان حلول متكاملة ومتسقة.
  • إعداد وتقديم عروض حول مسائل تصميم الطرق والمُفترقات المعقدة للفرق الداخلية والعملاء وأصحاب المصلحة الخارجيين.
  • المساعدة في تقييم مخاطر التصميم وجوانب قابلية الإنشاء واعتبارات المراحل لمشاريع الطرق والمُفترقات الكبرى.
  • أداء المهام الأخرى المرتبطة بهذا المنصب حسب ما يلزم.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية.
  • خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات في تصميم الطرق والطرق السريعة، ويفضل أن تشمل العمل على طرق سريعة ومُفترقات رئيسية.

المهارات المطلوبة

  • خبرة قوية في التصميم الهندسي للطرق، بما في ذلك المحاذاة الأفقية والرأسية والمقاطع العرضية وتخطيط التقاطعات وفقاً للمعايير الدولية والمحلية ذات الصلة.
  • خبرة مثبتة في مراجعة التصاميم المُعَدَّة من استشاريين خارجيين وإنتاج ملاحظات مراجعة منظمة ومتينة فنياً.
  • معرفة عملية بمبادئ تصميم الرصف وهندسة سلامة الطرق، مع القدرة على فهم ومراجعة وتحسين مقترحات الأطراف الخارجية.
  • خبرة في المساهمة في تطوير المفاهيم والهندسة القيمية في مشاريع الطرق والطرق السريعة.
  • خبرة في العمل ضمن بيئة فريق متعدد التخصصات والتنسيق مع التخصصات الأخرى.
  • نهج استباقي وموجه نحو الحلول، مع الاستعداد لدعم عمليات مكتب إدارة المشاريع والتعاون عبر الفرق لتعزيز تسليم المشروع بشكل عام.
  • مهارات عرض وتواصل جيدة، مع القدرة على شرح القضايا الفنية بوضوح لأصحاب المصلحة الفنيين وغير الفنيين.
  • خبرة سابقة في بيئة استشارات التصميم و/أو شركة إدارة مشاريع/مكتب إدارة مشاريع (PMC/PMO).
  • مهندس معتمد (Chartered Engineer) أو ما يعادله من هيئة هندسية معترف بها.
  • إتقان أدوات تصميم الطرق ذات الصلة (مثل AutoCAD Civil 3D أو InRoads أو ما يعادلها) بما يكفي لاختبار المفاهيم وإعداد الرسومات والعروض التوضيحية المساندة.
  • خبرة في المشاركة في ورش مراجعة التصميم وجلسات الهندسة القيمية أو اجتماعات التنسيق الفني لمشاريع البنية التحتية الكبرى.

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Roads Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work within a PMO working on major highways / infrastructure projects in the KSA Capital, Riyadh City.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviews road and highway design drawings, reports, and specifications prepared by third-party designers at concept and detailed design stages, with particular attention to interfaces with structures, drainage, utilities, traffic, and other disciplines.
  • Develops and evaluates conceptual design options for roads, junctions, and interchanges to support the PMO and client decision-making, including layout alternatives and high-level geometric solutions.
  • Contributes to value engineering studies for highways and interchanges, identifying opportunities to optimize geometry, pavement solutions, and safety features while maintaining compliance with standards and project objectives.
  • Prepares engineering details, sketches, and exhibits to illustrate design concepts, value engineering proposals, and design clarifications.
  • Reviews pavement design and road safety-related elements prepared by third parties, ensuring that recommendations are technically sound and aligned with applicable standards and good practice.
  • Reviews third-party design submissions, supplier drawings, and technical documents, and prepares clear, coordinated technical comments and responses for PMO and client approval processes.
  • Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams (bridges/structures, drainage, utilities, traffic, and architectural/landscape) to resolve design issues and ensure coherent, integrated solutions.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations on complex road and interchange design matters to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Assists in assessing design risks, constructability aspects, and phasing considerations for major road and interchange schemes.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in road and highway design, preferably including work on major highways and interchanges.
  • Solid experience in geometric road design, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and junction layouts in accordance with relevant international and local standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing designs prepared by third-party consultants and producing structured, technically robust review comments.
  • Working knowledge of pavement design principles and road safety engineering, with the ability to understand, challenge, and refine third-party proposals.
  • Experience contributing to concept development and value engineering on road and highway projects.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment and coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach, with willingness to support PMO processes and collaborate across teams to enhance overall project delivery.
  • Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in a design consultancy and/or PMC/PMO environment.
  • Chartered Engineer (or similar) status with an industry recognized engineering body
  • Proficiency with relevant road design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, or equivalent) sufficient to test concepts and prepare supporting sketches and exhibits.
  • Experience participating in design review workshops, value engineering sessions, or technical coordination meetings for major infrastructure projects.
