Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Jeddah. The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Day-to-day tasks include conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with clinical staff to support equipment usage in patient care areas. The role involves maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards, and working with vendors for parts, upgrades, and technical support. The Biomedical Engineer will also contribute to equipment lifecycle planning, technology assessments, and continuous improvement of biomedical systems within the facility.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering to support the design, integration, and management of medical technologies.
• Candidates should possess skills in Medical Equipment handling and Equipment Maintenance for installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to implement scheduled inspections, testing, and servicing of devices to minimize downtime and risk.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of hospital safety standards, regulatory requirements, and medical device quality systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical, technical, and vendor teams.
• Relevant professional certifications and prior experience in a hospital or clinical environment are considered an advantage.
