نبذة عن الوظيفة
يقود مهندس الواجهات الأول تصميم وتنسيق ومراجعة فنية وتسليم حلول هندسية للواجهات في المباني المعقدة ومشاريع الاستخدامات المختلطة. ويضمن الدمج الناجح بين الرؤية المعمارية والأداء الإنشائي وأهداف الاستدامة ومتطلبات التنفيذ في أنظمة واجهات عالية الجودة. ويوفر القيادة الفنية طوال دورة حياة المشروع، ويشرف على تطوير تصميم الواجهات واختيار المواد والتحليل الهندسي ودعم المشتريات والإشراف على التنفيذ وضمان الجودة والتنسيق مع أصحاب المصلحة، مع الالتزام بمتطلبات العميل والمعايير الدولية وأهداف تسليم المشروع.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- قيادة تصميم الواجهات وهندستها، بما في ذلك الواجهات الستارية وأنظمة التكسية والفتحات العلوية وتقاطعات الأسقف وأنظمة الزجاج والأعمال المعدنية المعمارية وعناصر الواجهات المتخصصة.
- إعداد مفاهيم تصميم الواجهات والمواصفات والحسابات والتقارير الفنية.
- إجراء تقييمات أداء الواجهات المتعلقة بالسلامة الإنشائية والأداء الحراري والصوتي ومقاومة تسرب المياه والسلامة من الحريق ومتطلبات الاستدامة.
- مراجعة واعتماد مخططات التصنيع للواجهات وعينات المواد والنماذج التجريبية (Mock-ups) والحسابات الهندسية.
- ضمان توافق حلول الواجهات مع الرؤية المعمارية مع مراعاة قابلية التنفيذ والمتانة وأداء دورة الحياة.
- التنسيق الوثيق مع المهندسين المعماريين والإنشائيين ومهندسي الكهروميكانيكا (MEP) والمقاولين والاستشاريين المتخصصين في الواجهات.
- إدارة التداخلات التصميمية بين أنظمة الواجهات والعناصر المحيطة بالمبنى.
- إجراء مراجعات التصميم الفنية وتحديد فرص الهندسة القيمية والتحسين.
- دعم تنسيق نمذجة معلومات البناء (BIM) والتكامل متعدد التخصصات طوال عملية التصميم.
- مراجعة مقترحات التصميم للتأكد من توافقها مع مواصفات المشروع والمعايير الدولية ومتطلبات الجهات المحلية.
- تقديم الدعم الفني خلال مراحل الشراء والتصنيع والتركيب والتشغيل التجريبي.
- متابعة أعمال تركيب الواجهات للتأكد من مطابقتها للتصاميم المعتمدة ومتطلبات الجودة.
- مراجعة بروتوكولات الاختبار والإشراف على اختبارات الأداء، بما في ذلك تسرب الهواء وتسرب المياه والأحمال الإنشائية واختبار النماذج التجريبية.
- حل المشكلات الفنية التي تظهر أثناء التصنيع والتنفيذ.
- دعم فرق المشروع خلال عمليات التفتيش والتسليم ومعالجة العيوب.
- العمل كممثل رئيسي لهندسة الواجهات أمام العملاء وأصحاب المصلحة في المشروع.
- المشاركة في ورش العمل التصميمية والاجتماعات الفنية ومراجعات التنسيق.
- إعداد التقارير الفنية والعروض التقديمية والتوصيات الهندسية.
- بناء علاقات قوية والحفاظ عليها مع العملاء والمقاولين والموردين والاستشاريين المتخصصين.
- تقديم الاستشارات الفنية المتخصصة حول تقنيات الواجهات والمواد وأفضل الممارسات.
- دعم تخطيط التكاليف واستراتيجيات الشراء لحزم الواجهات.
- تحديد المخاطر الفنية والمتعلقة بالمشروع المرتبطة بأنظمة الواجهات وتطبيق إجراءات التخفيف.
- مراجعة المطالبات والتغييرات وطلبات التغيير الفنية المقدمة من المقاولين.
- ضمان الالتزام بإجراءات حوكمة المشروع ومتطلبات العقود.
- المساهمة في تقييم العطاءات وعمليات اختيار المقاولين.
- تعزيز حلول التصميم المستدام للواجهات التي تحسن كفاءة الطاقة والأداء البيئي.
- ضمان الالتزام بأطر الاستدامة وأكواد الطاقة ومتطلبات شهادات المباني الخضراء.
- الحفاظ على أعلى معايير ضمان الجودة والتميز الفني.
- قيادة الابتكار من خلال تبني تقنيات الواجهات الناشئة وأدوات الهندسة الرقمية والمواد المتقدمة.
الشروط والمتطلبات
- درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة المدنية أو الهندسة الإنشائية أو الهندسة المعمارية أو هندسة المباني أو العمارة أو تخصص ذي صلة.
- درجة الماجستير في هندسة الواجهات أو الهندسة الإنشائية أو فيزياء المباني أو مجال ذي صلة (مفضلة).
- خبرة لا تقل عن 12 عامًا في هندسة الواجهات ضمن شركات الاستشارات الهندسية أو الاستشارات المتخصصة في الواجهات أو المقاولين أو المطورين العقاريين.
- خبرة مثبتة في تنفيذ حزم واجهات معقدة للأبراج الشاهقة والمشاريع التجارية ومشاريع الضيافة والاستخدامات المختلطة والمطارات والمرافق الصحية والمشاريع العملاقة.
- خبرة قوية في تنفيذ المشاريع في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، ويفضل في المملكة العربية السعودية أو الإمارات أو قطر أو دول أخرى في مجلس التعاون الخليجي.
- خبرة في إدارة تصميم الواجهات من مرحلة المفهوم حتى التنفيذ والتسليم.
- نجاح مثبت في تنسيق فرق التصميم متعددة التخصصات والمقاولين المتخصصين.
- الحصول على شهادات مهنية مفضلة، ومنها: مهندس معتمد (CEng)، وعضوية جمعية هندسة الواجهات (SFE)، واعتماد مهني معادل من RIBA أو ICE أو IStructE أو CIOB، واعتماد LEED AP أو WELL AP أو شهادة متعلقة بالاستدامة، وشهادة PMP أو شهادة إدارة مشاريع معادلة.

Your role
Façade Design & Engineering
- Lead the design and engineering of building façade systems including curtain walls, cladding systems, skylights, roofing interfaces, glazing systems, architectural metalwork, and specialty façade elements.
- Develop façade design concepts, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
- Perform façade performance assessments related to structural integrity, thermal performance, acoustic performance, weatherproofing, fire safety, and sustainability requirements.
- Review and approve façade shop drawings, material submissions, mock-ups, and engineering calculations.
- Ensure façade solutions meet architectural intent while maintaining constructability, durability, and lifecycle performance.
- Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, and specialist façade consultants.
- Manage design interfaces between façade systems and surrounding building elements.
- Conduct technical design reviews and identify opportunities for value engineering and optimization.
- Support BIM coordination and multidisciplinary integration throughout the design process.
- Review design proposals for compliance with project specifications, international standards, and local authority requirements.
- Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor façade installation activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and quality requirements.
- Review testing protocols and witness performance testing including air infiltration, water penetration, structural loading, and mock-up testing.
- Resolve technical issues arising during fabrication and construction.
- Support project teams during inspections, handover, and defect rectification stages.
- Act as the primary façade engineering representative for clients and project stakeholders.
- Participate in design workshops, technical meetings, and coordination reviews.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering recommendations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and specialist consultants.
- Provide expert technical advice regarding façade technologies, materials, and best practices.
- Support cost planning and procurement strategies for façade packages.
- Identify technical and project risks associated with façade systems and implement mitigation measures.
- Review contractor claims, variations, and technical change requests.
- Ensure compliance with project governance procedures and contractual requirements.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree in Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Physics, or relevant field preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in façade engineering within engineering consultancy, specialist façade consultancy, contractor, or developer organizations.
- Proven experience delivering complex façade packages for high-rise towers, commercial developments, hospitality projects, mixed-use developments, airports, healthcare facilities, or mega projects.
- Strong experience delivering projects within the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, or other GCC markets.
- Experience managing façade design from concept through construction and handover.
- Demonstrated success coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and specialist contractors.
