AI Art Authenticity Researcher - Digital Provenance & Emerging Technologies

ABOUT THE JOB
De Art is looking for an AI Art Authenticity Researcher interested in exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies can support the verification, documentation, and provenance of digital artworks.

The role focuses on researching methods for identifying artwork origins, documenting creative processes, and evaluating authenticity in an increasingly AI-generated visual environment.

The ideal candidate combines an interest in visual arts with knowledge of AI, digital provenance, and emerging approaches to content verification.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research AI-assisted methods for digital artwork authentication and provenance.
- Explore technologies for documenting the origin and history of digital artworks.
- Investigate AI-generated image detection and its limitations.
- Examine the role of metadata, digital signatures, and blockchain in artwork documentation.
- Research methods for recording creative processes and digital asset histories.
- Evaluate emerging tools for authenticity assessment and content verification.
- Explore ethical and technical challenges associated with AI-generated art.
- Collaborate with artists, researchers, and the De Art editorial team.
- Document research findings, workflows, and technical experiments.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Background or practical experience in artificial intelligence, digital media, computer science, digital forensics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AI-generated content and digital image technologies.
- Interest in digital provenance, authenticity, or content verification.
- Understanding of visual arts, digital culture, or creative technologies.
- Familiarity with metadata, digital signatures, or blockchain technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with relevant technical or research projects is desirable.
- A portfolio or examples of research and technical work are welcome.
